As part of Oracle Red Bull Racing’s Forever Rebl 20th season celebrations, the Team has designed a limited-edition jersey to be worn on the pitch by Red Bull Bragantino players during a match against Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas ahead of the São Paulo Grand Prix.
Oracle Red Bull Racing and Red Bull Bragantino have revealed a special edition jersey to be worn by the Red Bull Bragantino Team for their match against the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A league toppers, Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas on Saturday 26 October. As part of the Team’s Forever Rebl campaign marking 20 years in F1, Oracle Red Bull Racing has designed the limited-edition jerseys that will be worn by the Team for the match. This will be the first time that the Team will collaborate with a football team in this way, bringing together football and F1 and their passionate fan bases uniquely and excitingly.
The players will be sporting the limited-edition jersey on the pitch against league toppers Botafogo at the home of Red Bull Bragantino. The shirt will be seen across Brazil and the world at a televised game at the Nabi Abi Chedid Stadium in Bragança Paulista. The launch comes ahead of the São Paulo Grand Prix, with the race taking place on Sunday, 3 November, in Brazil. The jersey has been seen on both drivers, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, and activations around the collaboration continue across the race weekend.
The limited-edition jersey’s design inspiration is based on the Team’s “Camo Bull” design, an iconic piece of the Team’s history. The colours of the RB20 and team kit also inspire it. The jersey also references the 20th season Forever Rebl campaign and includes logos from both teams. The collaboration plays into two substantial passion points for Brazilians: football and F1, and this is a unique opportunity to bring these together. The design differs from Red Bull Bragantino’s usual club colours so that it will be a stand-out moment for fans.
Oracle Red Bull Racing Chief Marketing Officer Olly Hughes said:
“The jersey takeover marks an iconic moment in F1 and football history, being the first time an F1 team has collaborated with a football team in this way and bringing together two Red Bull Teams. We always ensure the fans are at the heart of what we do, and this collaboration unites Brazil’s incredibly passionate fan base and their love for F1 and football. This is part of our continued celebrations this year, marking 20 years of the Team’s history in the sport and showcasing how we continue to find new and exciting ways to be innovative and cutting-edge both on and off the track. We are proud of the collaboration and look forward to seeing the players sport the jersey on Saturday evening in Bragança Paulista.”
Managing Director at Red Bull Bragantino, André Rocha, said:
“This has never happened before. Oracle Red Bull Racing is a typical example of what corporate projects seek. Learning, persistence, planning, development, challenging the more traditional, with a victorious future based on young talents. So, being part of this celebration is an immense source of pride. We all know how much Brazilians are attracted to soccer and Formula 1. It’s a way to unite two passions that most Brazilians share. It also shows the credibility and relevance that the club has within the Red Bull world. Because of all the teams and sports that Red Bull has, we at Red Bull Bragantino have achieved this partnership. So we are very proud to be involved from the conception to the execution of this celebration of the Team’s 20th anniversary.”
