MATCHROOM are back in Monte Carlo on December 14 with a card topped by one man hunting down a showdown with Naoya Inoue.

Murodjon Akhmadaliev is patiently waiting for the WBA to sanction him a shot at the undisputed super-bantamweight champion. In the meantime, the 29-year-old southpaw can claim the interim WBA strap by beating Mexico’s Ricardo Espinoza Franco.

“I’m happy to be going back to work,” said Akhmadaliev. “It looks like that p4p star is not ready for big challenges. He can continue running away, but I will get what should be mine anyway. ‘MJ’ in business again and December will be hot!”

Olympic silver medallist Beatriz Ferreira also features on the card in the first defence of her IBF lightweight title against challenger Licia Boudersa.

Cheavon Clarke aims to take the next step to a world title shot when he challenges for the vacant European cruiserweight title. In his way is unbeaten Frenchman Leonardo Mosquea.

The four-fight card is rounded off by a one-time talked about lightweight bout which will now see the light of day on December 14. Gary Cully and Maxi Hughes face-off in a high stakes clash with world title aspirations on the table.
