The homemade hot chocolate sold out. The ball girls giggled with joy. Fans were bundled in blankets.
And, the athletes who could make it to the first-ever 2024 PA Field Hockey Senior Cup made memories with new teammates.
Nominations are now open for FAN, LLC’s second annual 2025 PA Field Hockey Senior Cup, a statewide East vs West high school field hockey All-Star tournament.
Just like the state All-Star lists provided by the Pennsylvania High School Field Hockey Coaches Association, coaches are responsible for nominating up to three seniors to participate in the two-day tournament.
The athletes do not pay anything to play. Travel and meals are covered by the athletes. FAN, LLC will have food trucks on site.
The games will be played the weekend of March 22 and 23 at Lower Dauphin Middle School in Hummelstown. New to the tournament format is the addition of a bronze medal game, which will be played prior to the Championship game on Sunday.
Additionally, the filmmakers of ‘The Next Play,’ the first-ever field hockey movie to be filmed in the United States, will be at the championship game. They will be conducting sideline interviews to possibly be used in the end credits, as well as scouting for casting. FAN, LLC is a sponsor of the movie’s production, which is focused on a high school field hockey team and mental health.

The deadline to nominate a senior from all PIAA and PAISSA schools with a field hockey program is November 28.
