Shakan Pitters secures win no.20

Shakan Pitters dropped and stopped stand-in opponent Bahadur Karami in spherical two of a scheduled six in Sheffield on February 7, stay on DAZN.

Pitters battered the Iranian ‘Freedom Fighter’ Karami, first dropping him with a proper hook, then utilizing him as goal practise with hooks and uppercuts till referee Michael Alexander stepped in to cease the one-sided onslaught.

The 35-year-old Brummie boxer devoted the victory to his late father, Colin, who sadly handed away in January.

Colin Pitters was a former professional boxer, who fought world champion Richie Woodhall in 1991. Recognized to followers as ‘Shaka Dan’, it was his father who first taught his son Shakan the best way to field.

On high of coping with his tragic loss, Shakan was dealt additional blows on combat week when his authentic opponent, Daniel Dos Santos, failed a mind scan and was pressured to withdraw kind the headlining combat which had the European light-heavyweight title on the road.
