Poland 1 maintained their flawless performance throughout the tournament, culminating in a victory at the 2024 WPV Beach ParaVolley Men’s World Championship in Yunyang, Chongqing, China, on Sunday.

Poland 1 claimed the world championship title with a commanding performance against India to win 2-0 (21-15, 21-7). Poland 1 demonstrated their dominance from the outset, securing a decisive win to mark their achievement as the first ever world champions of the discipline.

Poland 1 dropped only two sets in the tournament to capture the world championship crown. They lost a set to their compatriots Poland 2, and another set to their gold medal match rivals India during the preliminary round.

In the bronze medal match between Latvia and Slovakia, Slovakia took the first set with an impressive 21-10 win, but Latvia bounced back in the second frame, winning 21-16 and pushing the match into a decisive third set. The final set was nail-biter as both squads exchanged points in the intense battle. Ultimately, the Slovakians emerged with a 15-12 win to clinch the bronze medal.

Meanwhile, Australia concluded their tournament with a strong performance against Poland 2, securing a 2-0 (22-20, 21-16) victory. Australia narrowly edged the European side in the opening set, but built their momentum on that to execute better plays and put pressure on their rivals to finally log their first win in the tournament. The Australians earned a fifth-place finish, while Poland 2, despite their spirited efforts finished in sixth.
