Casemiro wants to remain at Man United beyond this summer.

Manchester United have some bold decisions to make in regard to the first-team squad this summer. The Old Trafford club are looking to trim down the overinflated wage bill, while keeping a core group of players together.

One man who has been involved in somewhat heavy transfer links away from Manchester is Casemiro. Saudi Arabia seems rather keen on bringing in the man from Brazil, while he struggled for large portions of the 2023/24 season.

However, Football Transfers believe Casemiro isn’t giving up on the Theatre of Dreams just yet.

According to their information, the United star is ‘determined’ to remain at United this summer. However, his future still hangs in the balance. Apparently, Ten Hag would like to keep the veteran, though INEOS could consider going against the wishes of the manager, by cashing in on the former Real Madrid man.

Injuries and inconsistencies meant Casemiro’s second term at the club was nowhere near as good as his first, though he doesn’t want to give up just yet.

The player has spoken to Ten Hag, expressing his desire to remain at the club, also apologising for his below par performances last season. Casemiro wants to make amends for those.

Ten Hag wants to keep Casemiro, as he believes a fit Brazilian, along with Lisandro Martinez, is key to club success next term.

The verdict

Honestly, I’d be content with whatever decision United make. Casemiro is getting older while he is on massive wages. That said, his experience could be vital for a dressing room that is still somewhat young.

It’s a tough decision to make for INEOS.
