Free agent guard DJ Steward has agreed to a two-way contract with the Chicago Bulls, according to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.
Steward, 22, has impressed in the Las Vegas Summer League, averaging 19.3 points per game.
His standout performance included a 37-point game on Friday night.
Steward, a Chicago-area native, adds another local talent to the Bulls’ roster.
He was a blue-chip recruit for Duke in 2020 and declared for the NBA Draft after one season.
Despite going undrafted, Steward has had notable stints with the Kings and Celtics’ G League teams.
This past season, he averaged 19.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in 29.7 minutes per game for the Maine Celtics in the G League.
