An unnamed NBA coach has suggested that the Golden State Warriors are past their prime, relying heavily on Stephen Curry to sustain their performance.

The coach compared the Warriors to a once-popular rock band that continues to tour, but no longer enjoys the same success or relevance.

While Curry remains an outstanding player, the team itself has lost its former edge and hasn’t produced a major impact recently.

The championship they claimed against Boston now seems more like a tribute to past achievements rather than a sign of ongoing dominance.

“They’re like one of those rock and roll bands that’s still touring. They’ve still got their lead singer, and he can still crank it out at a high level. But it’s not the same band as before – and they haven’t had a hit record in a few years.

“That championship they won against Boston … that’s looking like a lifetime achievement award now.”
