Anthony Martial is now trying to find himself a new club ahead of the summer transfer window.
I’ll be honest, I’d genuinely forgotten that Anthony Martial was still a Manchester United player this morning when I read the story. That’s how long it has been since the Frenchman had played for the Red Devils.
Alas, he is still here, albeit only for a short period of time. It has all-but been confirmed that Martial will be departing on a free transfer this coming summer.
The attacker is currently out injured, though he’s already putting the feelers out there for his next club.
It’s Gazzetta with the claim, with Sport Witness providing the translation. They state that the United player ‘offers himself’ to Inter Milan as his Reds exit looms.
Apparently, the Serie A side are currently evaluating whether or not to make a move to bring in the ex-AS Monaco player, with Inter having held interest in Martial in the past.
However, they do have a deal in place to sign Mehdi Taremi from Porto, which could complicate matters.
Despite the aforementioned injury woes, Martial does have a market and is attracting some interest as his Reds exit looms. Apparently, Fenerbahce and two unnamed French clubs could be keen on signing the striker.
Martial himself is evaluating the offers and considering his next move, as he knows there’s no way he is going to be playing football at Old Trafford next term.
I’m happy that Martial seems to have a pretty decent market despite his woeful displays for United over the last few years. He’s still young enough to make a really positive impact within the sport, though it absolutely should come away from United.
