Christian Braun refused to give up his jersey number to Russell Westbrook after the former MVP joined the Denver Nuggets this season. Westbrook, known for wearing the #0 throughout his career, will not be donning it in Denver.

When Westbrook inquired about wearing the #0 for the Nuggets, Braun declined to give it away. Despite the request from the veteran star, Braun stood firm in his decision to keep his number.

Harrison Wind reported that while Braun refused to give up #0, Hunter Tyson offered his #4 to Westbrook free of charge. As a result, Westbrook will wear #4 for the Nuggets in the upcoming season.

Westbrook, who has been associated with the #0 throughout his NBA career, will have to adapt to a new number in Denver. This marks a rare occasion where the star guard will not wear his signature jersey number.

As the Nuggets prepare for the upcoming season, Braun’s decision and Westbrook’s adjustment to his new number will be topics of interest.
