Christian Mbilli vs Sergiy Derevyanchenko full undercard revealed

The action will be non-stop at Quebec City’s Centre Vidéotron on August 17, where boxing fans will witness 9 electrifying matchups, including a potential Fight of the Year in the main event. Headlining the night, Christian Mbilli (27-0, 23 KOs) will defend his WBC Continental Americas and WBA International titles against three-time world title challenger Sergiy Derevyanchenko (15-5, 10 KOs).

The evening’s co-main event will feature heavyweight Arslanbek Makhmudov (19-1, 18 KOs), who, in pursuit of the biggest win of his career, cannot afford any mistakes. Known as ‘The Lion,’ and ranked 11th in the world by the WBC, Makhmudov will face Top Rank’s prospect Guido ‘The Gladiator’ Vianello (12-2-1, 10 KOs), ranked 35th globally. It promises to be a fierce battle, as Makhmudov aims to silence the Rio Olympic participant who declared in an interview that the Montrealer would be an “easy fight.”

Another bout with international stakes: Eye of the Tiger’s protégé, IBO super middleweight champion, and WBC #5 and IBF #10 contender, Osleys ‘El Tornado’ Iglesias (11-0, 10 KOs), will go toe-to-toe with former world title challenger Sena ‘The African Assassin’ Agbeko (28-3, 22 KOs). Iglesias, whose last knockout victory went viral worldwide, faces a significant challenge against a motivated, more experienced Ghanaian opponent who has never been knocked down in his career.

Ranked 8th globally by the IBF and 11th by the WBC in the super featherweight division, Leïla Beaudoin (11-1, 1 KO) has a golden opportunity to make significant progress in the world rankings and move closer to a world championship fight, as she could claim her first career title. The WBO International Super Featherweight belt will be on the line in her scheduled 10-round bout against former two-time world title challenger, Bolivian Lizbeth Crespo (15-7, 4 KOs).

Quebec City native Wilkens Mathieu (9-0, 6 KOs) will also face a tough challenge in his second career fight in front of his home crowd as he squares off against the tireless Facundo Galovar (15-11-2, 9 KOs). Well-known to the Quebec public, the Argentine has gone the distance with two world title contenders from Eye of the Tiger: Mehmet Unal and Albert Ramirez.
