New Orleans Pelicans star C.J. McCollum is optimistic about making his return to the court on Monday in a matchup against the Indiana Pacers.
McCollum has been sidelined since October 29 with a strained right adductor muscle but appears to be nearing full readiness for game action.
The veteran guard participated in a full-contact practice session on Saturday, a significant step forward in his recovery process.
Following that successful workout, McCollum expressed confidence in rejoining the team for their upcoming game, providing a much-needed boost to the Pelicans’ backcourt.
The Pelicans, however, continue to navigate a challenging stretch of injuries. Key players like Zion Williamson, Dejounte Murray, Herb Jones, and Jose Alvarado remain unavailable due to longer-term issues.
Despite these setbacks, New Orleans has recently seen reinforcements return to the lineup, with Brandon Ingram, Trey Murphy III, and Jordan Hawkins all back on the floor.
McCollum’s return would further stabilize the roster as the Pelicans work to regain momentum amidst their injury struggles.
