The official Gervonta Davis vs. Lamont Roach fight poster was briefly posted by Tank on social media before being deleted for their December 14th fight on PPV at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

The PPV price isn’t on the poster, but it’s likely to be the same $75.95 as Tank’s last fight against Frank Martin. Tank isn’t going to want to take a pay cut. David Benavidez isn’t expected to be in the co-feature like last time Tank fought. Whatever price the organizers choose to sell the Tank-Roach event, it’s not expected to do good numbers on PPV.

Fans on X are roasting Tank Davis (30-0, 28 KOs) over their fight, saying it’s another “trash fight” for the 29-year-old Baltimore native. They’re not buying into the Tank enablers, who are saying that none of the top fighters were available.

They just see this as standard operating procedures for Tank Davis, who has been matched like this his entire 11-year professional career. The best names on Tank’s resume are Mario Barrios and Ryan Garcia. Those were with rehydration clauses.

People would be more tolerant of this fight if Tank’s last one was against a tough opponent instead of another cherry pick, but that’s not the case. Tank’s last fight was against Frank Martin, who he knocked out in the eighth round last June after coming off a 14-month layoff.

Tank’s last six opponents:

– Frank Martin
– Ryan Garcia
– Hector Garcia
– Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero
– Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz
– Mario Barrios

It doesn’t matter how great the fight poster looks for the Tank vs. Roach event. Fans are still going to be critical of this fight, and not want to purchase it on PPV. It’s a bad fight, and Tank hasn’t been giving people the fights they’ve been asking for.
