Simply put, the offense did not get the job done. They were unable to convert in several important moments.

Jones was intercepted in the red zone after he was hit by B.J. Hill while attempting a pass. It was an unfortunate situation for the quarterback and the team and an inexcusable mistake.

New York also failed to convert on two fourth downs, ending promising drives early.

Statistically, the offense looked a little better but was still far from ideal. Jones completed under 54 percent of his passes and finished with 205 passing yards. Tyrone Tracy Jr. had the only touchdown of the game for the Giants but averaged only 2.9 yards per carry on 17 attempts.

One of the only two positives was that Darius Slayton continued to be a difference-maker in the passing game as he finished with 57 yards on six catches while also forcing a pass interference call setting up the only touchdown on the night. The other was that Jones was efficient in the run game as he finished with 56 yards on 11 attempts.

A seven-point performance against one of the worst defenses in the NFL was far from what New York is looking for and they will need to completely turn this around against the Philadelphia Eagles next week.
