Israel Ramírez vs Edixon Pérez for NABF title

This Saturday, July 27, the brave young Mexican, Israel ‘Azulito’ Ramírez will be making his first defence of the NABF super-bantamweight belt of the World Boxing Council against the always complicated Venezuelan, Edixon Pérez.

The 10-round super bantamweight duel will be the co-main event of the evening in which Miguel Berchelt (39-3) will star against Jeremy Triana (15-5-3) in Tlaxcala, Mexico.

Israel Ramírez, born in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, will enter the ring for the second time during 2024 to defend for the first time the NABF title that he won at the beginning of the year, after defeating Jesús Arechiga Valdez by unanimous decision.

Ramírez (20-2, 10 KO), 24 years old, has a knockout power ratio percentage of 50%. Likewise, he has accumulated a streak of four wins and one loss in his most recent five bouts. In addition, it will be the first time as a professional that he faces a Venezuelan fighter.

Edixon Pérez, originally from Bolívar, Venezuela, will face his first fight in 2024, having defeated Gustavo Nuñez at the end of last year by knockout in the first round.

Pérez (28-10-1, 22 KO), 32 years old, has a knockout power exceeding 70%. Likewise, he accumulates two wins, two losses and a draw in his most recent matches. The most recent victory on foreign soil was at the beginning of 2022 in the Dominican Republic against Ranfis Encarnación (21-4).
