Joselu has opted not to remain at Real Madrid for the upcoming season, despite the club’s willingness to pay €1.5 million (£1.3m/$1.6m) to make his loan from Espanyol permanent.
This decision comes as Real Madrid prepares to welcome new signings Kylian Mbappe and Endrick. According to Fabrizio Romano, Joselu is expected to join Qatari side Al Gharafa.
Having returned to Real Madrid last summer on loan after standout performances with Alaves and Espanyol in La Liga, Joselu played a crucial role as the main substitute for Karim Benzema. His contributions were pivotal, notably scoring two late goals in the Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich. Despite his success, the arrival of Mbappe and Endrick has signaled the end of Joselu’s tenure at the Bernabeu, where his playing time would likely diminish significantly.
