LeBron James, entering his 22nd NBA season, has declared that he has nothing left to accomplish as a player. The four-time NBA champion, fresh off winning his third Olympic gold medal this summer, made the statement during the Los Angeles Lakers’ first day of practice.

When asked if there was anything left for him to achieve in his career, James responded confidently. “No. Everything else is extra credit. I’ll take it. I love what I do, but I got everything,” James said, Ballislife.com.

At 39 years old, James has reached an elite level of accomplishment that includes four MVP awards, multiple NBA championships, and a host of individual accolades. While some athletes continue to set new goals, James seems content with his current legacy, which spans two decades of dominance.

This upcoming season will be particularly special for James, as he prepares to play alongside his eldest son, Bronny James. Bronny was selected 55th overall in this year’s NBA Draft, joining his father on the Lakers roster. This father-son duo is set to make history as the first to play on the same team in the modern NBA era.

James’ declaration that there is “nothing left to accomplish” comes after a summer of intense competition and yet another gold medal for his collection.
