Man United could receive a welcome boost, with Leny Yoro set to possibly return sooner than expected.

Manchester United have been dealing with major injuries ever since Erik ten Hag took charge at Old Trafford. It’s a tricky problem to deal with for any manager, particularly when it’s some of your most important players who are absent.

The gaffer made Leny Yoro one of his major signings this summer, though the Frenchman is yet to play a single minute of competitive football for the Reds, after going down with a semi-major injury in pre-season.

A three-month layoff was the initial timeframe placed on Yoro’s return and we’re now somewhat approaching that mark. However, according to Give Me Sport‘s Ben Jacobs, the United star is ‘recovering ahead of schedule’ after the injury.

Jacobs also states that the United youngster ‘could be back sooner than expected’ from the issue that he picked up on August 5th.

Yoro is said to be doing gym work, while impressing Carrington staff with his attitude and determination to get fit quicker than expected.

The defender wants to be in first-team training before the November international break, though the club will not rush him back, even if he’s eager to return.

Yoro is itching to be involved against Arsenal on December 5th, which is around six weeks away.

All credit to the young man for staying mentally positive during this tough time. This is a player who will add an awful lot of quality to the starting line-up when he’s back at 100% fitness. I genuinely cannot wait to see him develop and grow as a player here at Old Trafford.

The question is, will Ten Hag get to utilise Yoro before the Dutchman is relieved of his duties…?

Do you think Leny Yoro will be match fit before the Christmas period? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
