Amir Ibragimov has been pictured in Man United first-team training this week.

Manchester United Football Club have always been more than willing to throw teenagers in at the deep end. Credit to Erik ten Hag for continuing that deep-rooted mantra, utilising the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo.

There’s plenty of talk about just how promising the future is for the Old Trafford side. Shea Lacey is rightly being bigged up, while Harry Amass and Toby Collyer are inching ever so closer to making their breakthrough.

However, perhaps there’s no bigger talent on the books than Amir Ibragimov. The Russian-born attacker is rated supremely highly by United, though he has recently suffered a semi-serious injury.

The good news? He’s now over that problem, with the big United talent spotted in first-team training this week, alongside some fellow, unnamed academy players. AcademyScoop provided the information.

The England youth international is a left-winger by trade, though he does have the natural ability to play pretty much anywhere on a football field.

His on-ball skill, attacking quality, directness and sheer goal threat is next level. It’s quite amazing that age just sixteen, Ibragimov is already performing at such high levels. Dare I say that but for his injury, he could have made a real impact during pre-season this summer.

Much like many players his age, Ibragimov is still a little rough around the edges. He will need time to develop and grow as a footballer, though the natural ability is the most important thing and he has that in abundance.

Perhaps it was more realistic for Ibragimov to wait until next pre-season for his big chance anyway.
