Man United made it three draws in three Europa League games against Fenerbahce last night and here are our player ratings from the 1-1 draw.
Andre Onana – Made arguably the best double save I’ve ever seen to deny Fenerbahce as the first half wound down. Couldn’t do anything about the goal. 8/10
Diogo Dalot – Continues to blow hot and cold. Had a mixed afternoon against ex-Newcastle man Saint-Maximin. Struggled with his pace and trickery. 4/10
Matthijs de Ligt – A steady outing from the Dutchman, though there were a few jitters at the back alongside Victor Lindelof as this was their first start alongside each other. 5/10
Victor Lindelof – Looked a little off the pace, which is understandable given his lack of football. 4/10
Lisandro Martinez – Captained the side from left-back which isn’t anything close to a natural position for him. Struggled with the Fenerbahce right-back. 4/10
Manuel Ugarte – Started slowly but settled into the game and made one incredible block which saved a certain goal. He looked good. 7/10
Christian Eriksen – Scored a wonderful goal as his positive form continues. Looked good in midfield and kept it neat and tidy. 7/10
Noussair Mazraoui – Started in the number 10 position in Bruno Fernandes’ absence. Did a decent enough job but it’s clear he’s not the long-term answer in that spot. 5/10
Alejandro Garnacho – Looked sharp. Particularly in the first 45. Gave his defender trouble and was involved in the first goal. 6/10
Marcus Rashford – Much like his fellow winger, Rashy had a bright start but faded as the game wore on. Had a decent chance to make it 2-0. 6/10
Joshua Zirkzee – Assisted Eriksen but was poor aside from that. His passing was bad at times and he never really looked like scoring… 4/10
Subs:
Casemiro – Offered some experience and midfield toughness in the second half.
Rasmus Hojlund – Looked lively up top.
Antony – Came on then went off injured. Looked bad.
Amad – Sharp when he came on.
