Man United have come to an agreement with Joshua Zirkzee over personal terms.

Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move to sign Joshua Zirkzee this summer, as the Red Devils look to bring in some help for Rasmus Hojlund in the striker position.

The Dane enjoyed a decent debut season at the Theatre of Dreams, though it’d be unfair to carry the goal-scoring burden all on his own. Hence, Zirkzee’s signature has been chased.

CaughtOffside have today provided an update on that front, claiming that United have ‘reached an agreement’ on personal terms with the transfer target.

As things stand, talks between United and Bologna are ongoing, with the Reds trying to figure out how exactly they would like to structure the payments of the £34m release clause.

Zirkzee’s breakout season culminated in twelve goals and four assists, leading United to believe he’d be the perfect candidate to come in and help out in the final third.

This is a young man who still has plenty of developing and learning to do and you’d like to think that he’d improve further playing with a better quality of player.

United must have had to convince Zirkzee that he’d be given the sufficient playing time to prove his worth and who knows, he could even compete with Hojlund for the starting role in the not too distant future?

In years gone by, United have typically struggled to get signings done quickly. Let’s hope that United, now under INEOS, can push this transfer through sooner rather than later, allowing the club to then move onto other transfer targets.
