Man United are making progress on a move to sign Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich.

Manchester United Football Club have made two additions this summer, with the Reds now pushing for a third signing of real quality.

Right-back appears to be the next position that Erik ten Hag is looking to address. First and foremost, it could be dependent on the Old Trafford side being able to sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with the ex-Crystal Palace man in the final year of his contract.

The search for a Wan-Bissaka replacement may be on hold until the man himself is sold. West Ham United are thought to be keen on the Englishman.

According to Sky Sports, United and West Ham are in talks over the transfer.

Dharmesh Sheth also provides some information on a potential Reds move to sign Noussair Mazraoui as the replacement. According to his latest sources, those talks to sign the 26-year-old from Bayern Munich are said to be ‘advancing’.

Mazraoui, who was almost West Ham-bound himself, feels like the natural replacement for Wan-Bissaka. The man from Morocco is a much better stylistic fit for the way Ten Hag likes to play the game.

Although he’s not as good of a defender as Wan-Bissaka, you’d like to think Mazraoui’s impact in the final third would offset those defensive frailties.

Ten Hag knows Mazraoui well from their time together over in Amsterdam, as the United gaffer continues to surround himself with familiarity and quality. Comfort is a key part of the job for any successful manager and as soon as the Dutchman has a squad he’s fully happy with, we’ll start to see the positive results flow.
