Man United have welcomed back two first-team regulars to training ahead of the US leg of the pre-season tour.

Manchester United have already played a couple of pre-season games, though the main part of the tour takes place over in the United States, with the first American game being played this coming weekend.

Erik ten Hag is still largely working with a squad of youngsters, as the experienced faces return in dribs and drabs after their exploits for their respective nations.

With the lads all preparing to fly across the Atlantic in the coming days, Manchester World have confirmed a boost for United, with two first-team regulars due to make their training return today. Both Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen, who played in the European Championship for Denmark, were expected back in action on Monday.

Both were granted three weeks off following Denmark’s elimination from the tournament, though they’ve had their period of rest and they will be good to go when the lads jet off for America.

This is vital for Hojlund in particular, as this is his first pre-season with the Old Trafford side. Remember he was signed late on in the window last time, while he was also nursing an injury.

Our young striker didn’t have the easiest of summers, either, having come in for criticism following his Denmark displays.

As for Eriksen, I am somewhat surprised he’s still at the club. The rumours suggesting he could leave have been consistent over the last few months. Perhaps there’s still a chance the ex-Spurs man does depart, though I would be happy if he stays around as not many have his dead-ball quality.

Do you think Christian Eriksen will still be at the club beyond the summer? Let us know your thoughts the comment box below.
