Man United’s Marcus Rashford has been dealing with a knock over the last month or so.

Manchester United have been dealing with major injuries this season, with the Old Trafford club certainly suffering on the field as a result.

From Lisandro Martinez, to Luke Shaw, with many other issues in between, the Red Devils have been hit harder than anyone. this season. The international break was supposed to be a period of rest and recuperation, though instead, more problems have arisen.

First, Harry Maguire was suffering with an injury while away with England. He has since left the camp and returned home to Manchester.

Now, Henry Winter has confirmed that Marcus Rashford also has an injury. According to the journalist, the United star has been carrying a ‘slight knock’ over the last month or so. He has been playing through the problem.

The affected area, or the severity of the issue hasn’t been disclosed. However, the fact he has been playing through it means it isn’t too serious.

My first real concern is the fact that Rashford has actively gone away with England while dealing with a knock. Surely it makes sense to stay here in Manchester and rest up ahead of a massive end of season run-in for the club? You’ve seen many other players dip out of international duty already over the last week or so. Rashy should absolutely have done the same.

United can never force Rashford into a decision, though you’d like to think England and the player would show a bit of common sense. I understand the national pride and representing your country, but these are friendly matches. They’re largely meaningless. Rashford’s place in the European Championship squad is pretty much secure already. Why risk it?

Hopefully, he’s fit enough to start when Brentford visit Old Trafford this weekend.

Do you think Marcus Rashford should have stayed in Manchester rather than going away with England? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
