If it’s Friday, it’s time for Statwatch.

As the season careens towards its end in a couple of weeks, you notice a couple of things when it comes to statistics. There are a lot of players whose numbers will stay steady, if either because the player’s team has finished its season, or defenders are trying to shut star players off.

At the same time, however, a number of players in our listing have been continuing to score; indeed, Jordyn Hollamon, Liv Hess, and Jordan Byers had hat tricks in the last week. Any of these scorers’ seasons could end at the next game, so it will be interesting to see who if anyone, will top 60 goals this season.

What you see below is our week’s concatenation of statistics, gathered by fine sources such as Lancaster Online, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, New Jersey Advance Media, the governing bodies of Kentucky and Michigan, and, of course, the easy-to-use MaxPreps.com platform. I encourage you to get your fellow teams to enter their information there as well as whichever is your local news site, so that we can aim for as complete a statistical picture of the country as possible.

CAREER GOALS
212 Jordyn Hollamon, Delmar (Del.)
158 Molly Driscoll, Watertown (Mass.)/Andover Phillips Academy (Mass.)
158 Krista Lilienthal, Pompton Lakes (N.J.)

Here’s where you come in. If you see an error or omission, please feel free to send an email to us at TopOfTheCircle.com. Include some backup (a website will do), and we can make the change.

Thanks for reading; we’ll see you next week.
