There were three Pro Volleyball Federation matches Friday. The second-place Omaha Supernovas beat the visiting Grand Rapids Rise in five sets, the Vegas Thrill beat San Diego in five, dealing the Mojo a tough blow in their quest for a playoff bid, and the Columbus Fury beat the Orlando Valkyries in four.
The next matches are Sunday, when Grand Rapids is at Columbus and Vegas goes to Atlanta.

OMAHA 3, GRAND RAPIDS 2: The Supernovas came away with a 25-22, 23-25, 25-20, 16-25, 15-7 victory that puts them one victory away from clinching the No. 2 spot in the four-team playoffs.
Newly acquired Stephanie Samedy, the former Minnesota star, led with 21 kills, 18 digs and five blocks, one solo. Brooke Nuneviller had 20 kills, 16 digs and three blocks, one solo. Bethania De La Cruz added 17 kills and had three aces to go with 17 digs, four assists and three block assists. Setter Sydney Hilley had 56 assists, 18 digs, three blocks assists and a kill. Kendall White had 16 digs and three assists.
Grand Rapids got 24 kills from league-leader Claire Chaussee, who had just six errors in 59 attacks, an assist, 15 digs and four blocks, two solo. Marin Grote, who had one error in 27 attacks, had 11 kills, a dig and 10 blocks, three solo. Morgahn Fingall 10 kills, an ace, 15 digs and four blocks, one solo, and Shannon Scully had nine kills with eight digs. Camila Gomez had 20 digs and four assists and Mac Podraza had 33 assists, eight digs, two kills and five blocks, four solo.
VEGAS 3, SAN DIEGO 2: The Thrill, who had lost five in a row, now have won two of three with their 25-21, 22-25, 25-17, 22-25, 15-13 victory.
Khat Bell led with 19 kills, an assist, 14 digs and three blocks, one solo. Payton Caffrey had 14 kills, an ace, an assist, 13 digs and four blocks, one solo. Berkeley Oblad had 12 kills in 26 errorless attacks, an ace, ana assist, three digs and 14 blocks, three solo. Layne Van Buskirk had 10 kills, two aces, an assist and four blocks, three solo. Kylie Murr had 25 digs and six assists and Alisha Glass Childress had 45 assists, 18 digs, four blocks — two solo — and three kills.
San Diego’s Willow Johnson had 22 kills with just six errors in 61 attacks, an assist, 13 digs and two block assists. Temi Thomas-Ailara had 11 kills, an ace, 17 digs and four blocks, two solo. Ronika Stone had nine kills with two errors in 22 attacks, four digs and eight blocks, two solo. Setter Nootsara Tomkom had 49 assists, 18 digs, five block assists and a kill.
COLUMBUS 3, ORLANDO 1: The Fury lost the first set and then stormed back to win 22-25, 26-24, 25-12, 25-15.
Kendall Kipp continued to shine since joining the team earlier in the month after her pro season in Italy, this time leading with 20 kills, 11 digds and five blocks, two solo.
Reagan Cooper added 14 kills with only two errors in 24 attacks, a dig, an ace and two block assists. Megan Courtney Lush had 10 kills, an ace, an assist, 14 digs and three blocks, one solo. Valeria Leon had 17 digs and five assists.
Orlando’s Adora Anae continued her all-league season with 15 kills, 1 digs and four blocks, three solo. Her teammates combined for 27 kills, eight by Carly Skjodt.
