Partizan Belgrade has decided to impose a fine on Bruno Caboclo but will retain the player for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

Caboclo, who averaged 9.4 points and 4 rebounds per game in the EuroLeague last season, faced disciplinary action from the club.

In a statement, Partizan announced that Caboclo has been fined an amount equivalent to five months’ salary due to contractual breaches, including missed practices and games, and unauthorized departure from the team.

Despite these disciplinary measures, Partizan emphasized that Caboclo remains under contract and will continue with the team next season.

The club clarified that recent reports regarding Caboclo’s obligations to the Brazilian national team are inaccurate and not in line with FIBA rules.

Partizan highlighted that according to FIBA regulations, they are not obliged to release the player for national team duties before the end of club obligations.

Furthermore, the club has formally communicated with the Brazilian Basketball Federation to seek clarification on the matter.

Partizan expressed their commitment to upholding their rights and has informed FIBA authorities about the situation involving Caboclo.
