Kristaps Porzingis has officially moved into the next phase of his rehabilitation journey. As part of his ongoing recovery, the Boston Celtics have scheduled him to participate in a practice with the Maine Celtics at the Auerbach Center on Monday afternoon.
This step is a significant milestone in his recovery process, allowing him to ramp up his basketball activity. Following the practice, Porzingis will be recalled by the Boston Celtics to continue his rehabilitation under the team’s supervision.
Porzingis underwent a surgical procedure in June to repair a torn retinaculum and a dislocated posterior tibialis tendon, both of which had been affecting his performance and overall health.
The recovery timeline initially suggested that the 7-foot center would miss approximately five to six months of action.
This rehab stint with the Maine Celtics signals positive progress, as he continues to work toward a return to full fitness and eventual participation with the Celtics.
