Amad continues to receive praise after an excellent performance away at Southampton yesterday.
Manchester United Football Club will be feeling good after their victory away at Southampton on Saturday. Erik ten Hag will have slept a lot better than he has done over the past fortnight.
The game itself was intriguing. United started poorly but grew into the game, with an Andre Onana penalty save proving to be the turning point. There can be no doubt that from an attacking perspective, young Amad continues to be the shining star.
Although the Ivory Coast winger didn’t score, he did pick up an assist, during an outing that was a complete performance.
After the game, talkSPORT pundit Jason Cundy piled the praise on the emerging United star, who he labelled ‘the best player on the pitch’, while labelling his performance as ‘sensational’.

“A number of players, I thought particularly played well for Manchester United, De Ligt gets his first goal.” Cundy said live on talkSPORT after the game, per Stretty News.
“so you’ve got three wide players right now, you’ve got Amad, You’ve got Rashford, and you’ve got Garnacho.
“Amad first half, he was sensational, even though United struggled.
“He’s going to be one hell of a player by the way, I thought he was sensational.
“Even though United were poor, I thought he was the best player on the pitch.”
It’s brilliant to see Amad receive the praise from outside of the United circle and this will only be beneficial from a confidence standpoint.
It has taken Amad time to make that leap to first-team football, though he’s still so young aged just 22, with the world at his feet.
He’s now nailed down a regular starting position in a competitive area for United, while he’ll only continue to improve and grow as he learns those little tips and tricks that you can only pick up by playing week-in-week-out.
Hopefully, Amad can stay fit and continue to get a real run of games under his belt, as his development over the last few months has been an absolute pleasure to witness.
