Moses Itauma is about to join forces with one of Britain’s most successful trainers

Moses Itauma is a hotly tipped young heavyweight who is looking to become the division’s youngest-ever world title holder and beat Mike Tyson’s long-standing record.

He was out for the eighth time as a professional in late March against Dan Garber and is under the auspices of Frank Warren’s Queensbury. That fight ended with him stopping his opponent inside the distance, just like he has done with five of his previous foes.

Next time out he fights on the undercard of the undisputed showdown between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk on May 18 when he takes on Ilja Mezencev.

Itauma, 19 and from Chatham, Kent, has been working with a couple of different coaches, most recently Alan Smith ahead of the fight in March.

A new post on X by ProBoxingFans reveals that he has change backroom staff again and is now training under Ben Davison.
