Ryan Garcia is backing Tyson Fury to defeat Oleksandr Usyk in their mega-clash for all the heavyweight gold on Saturday night on DAZN PPV and ESPN PPV at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Garcia views Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) as the gold standard for what a heavyweight should be, and feels he’s going to triumph against the three-belt champion Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) in their headliner.

Ryan Garcia in Saudi Arabia

Fresh off his win over Devin Haney last April, Ryan is in Saudi Arabia as a special guest of His Excellency to watch the two unbeaten heavyweight champions, Fury and Usyk, battle it out for the undisputed championship of the division.

Ryan (25-1, 20 KOs) is trying to clear up the mess over his two positive tests for a banned PED for his fight against Haney. He hopes to get that out of the way so he can fight former unified welterweight champion Errol Spence to send him into retirement.

Garcia’s Future Fight Plans

“I want to fight the likes of Errol Spence Jr. I need that. I’m going to take his head off. I’m finishing the job,” said Ryan Garcia to DAZN Boxing about wanting to fight former unified welterweight champion Errol Spence next.

“Terence Crawford did a good job with it, but I’m going to finish the job. He’s not going to be able to box anymore after he fights me,” Ryan continued about Spence. “I want to knock him out for my coach [Derrick James].

“After May 22nd, there obviously should be a result for the B-sample, but I don’t believe that it’ll come out clean because obviously if they found an A, why wouldn’t they find out a B?” said Garcia, alluding to his positive tests for the banned PED Ostrine from last April. “I think it’s all bull crap as we know it is.

Garcia’s Excitement for Fury vs. Usyk

“I’ve not seen anything like this before. It’s my first time in Saudi Arabia. So, I’m excited. It’s huge,” said Ryan about the Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk fight on Saturday night. “It’s Usyk vs. Fury. Everybody is excited for it. Obviously, I’m excited for it. I got Fury.

“The whole boxing world is talking about it. This is a worldwide thing. It’s going to be a 12-round decision. It’s going to be a very close fight, but I think Fury is too good and I love Fury. He’s got that energy in him and looks great. Usyk is a hell of a fighter. Nah, Fury is the man. I think he’s the greatest fighter of all time,” said Garcia.
