Ryan Garcia is amused at Devin Haney’s prediction ahead of their fight on April 20th. Kingry sees Haney’s knockout prediction as flat-out delusional.
Garcia, 25, is coming into the bout as the underdog against the two-division world champion Haney at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Kingry doesn’t view the pillow-fisted Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) as having his feet fully planted in reality with his wacky KO prediction, and he can’t wait to bring him back to the real world in their headliner on DAZN PPV.
Ryan (24-1, 20 KOs) has many doubters that he wants to prove wrong. Many of them predict that WBC light welterweight champion Haney will outclass him and possibly score a knockout.
“Dude’s Delusional”
“I’m ready to do my job on April 20th. I’m going to handle business. He can believe whatever he wants to believe,” said Ryan Garcia to ABN Sports Media about Devin Haney believing he can knock him out on April 20th.
Haney’s dad, Bill, his son’s power has increased for this camp due to him getting more acclimated to the 140-lb division in his second fight in the weight class. Ryan sees Bill as talking straight-up nonsense and just wishes Devin would find some power in time for their fight on April 20th.
Haney didn’t look any stronger when hitting the bag in his media workout. It was the same weak shots that fans have been accustomed to seeing from him.
Garcia’s Got a Whole Stadium of Doubters to Silence
“The chances of that are very low. Everybody has a chance of knocking anybody out, I feel like. That’s a crazy statement from him. He can feel whatever way; I don’t give a f***. I’m going to prove everybody wrong that Devin Haney is going to beat me.
Ryan can’t wait to serve Haney’s fans some humble pie after he crushes Haney in front of them, leaving him a pile of rubble on the canvas.
“Everybody that thinks Devin Haney is going to beat me is crazy, but whatever. It feels great. I’m in shape, I’m happy. My energy levels are great. You’re going to see the best of me.
“Afterparty Starts When I Drop Haney”
“I’m going to go in there and handle business, destroy this dude, and start drinking after and have a good time. Smoke it up—everything I want to do after. Watch. I’m going to light it all up. Brooklyn is going to be smelling like weed. Just count your days, brother,” said Ryan when asked for a message for Haney.
Once Ryan demolishes Haney, he plans on taking off for a celebration of the ages with some of the best smoke and only the finest drink.
