Ryan Garcia posted a clip on Instagram showing the form he used to drop his son, Devin Haney, three times in a victory last April.

In the clip, Ryan throws a lightning-fast left hook and then stands looking at the ground, posing how he stood after dropping Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) after one of the times he knocked him down at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Did Ryan Garcia Ruin Haney?

Some believe that Ryan (24-1, 20 KOs) ruined Haney, who hasn’t fought since his loss. Others doubt that he can still take a shot without going down his heap on the canvas. We won’t know if Haney is still the same fighter until he gets in the ring with someone.

Bill Haney has been sounding thirsty for the Ryan rematch, but he’s going about it the wrong way. He’s been pushing for him to sign up for VADA rather than telling him, ‘Hey, will drop the lawsuit. Let’s run it back in April.’

Haney’s reputation is ruined after that loss, and the only way he can rebuild is by coming back, getting some big wins under his belt, and ideally avenging his defeat to Ryan. That’s hard to do with Haney not fighting, suing Ryan, and talking about wanting to fight the weak puncher Jack Catterall.

“Hey, Bill Haney, happy Halloween. I’ve got something to really scare you,”  said Ryan Garcia on social media.

“I think that’s Bill, his father, going after him. If you beat me unjustly and unfairly, I’m going to tell you, ‘Let’s run it again.’ That’s what real fighters do,” said trainer Yoel Judah to Fighthype, reacting to Devin Haney suing Ryan Garcia after his loss.

“Real fighters do real things. ‘Let’s run that one back.’ Right now, I think if Devin goes back in the way he’s supposed to, I think he’ll be victorious. If I was Devin, I’d go back in with Ryan again. Let’s run it again. Let’s do the rematch. Real fighters do real things.”
