Ryan Garcia reacted with defiance today in response to the World Boxing Council (WBC) expelling him after the racist comments that he made on Thursday on social media.
Garcia lashed back at the WBC, saying on X, “It’s okay; just don’t try to work with me ever again, even after I get clean and sober.”
Ryan wants nothing to do with the WBC after he gets his act together. They blew it, and he has no desire to work with them again.

Ryan suggests that the WBC’s decision to expel him was permanent, not temporary. However, he says that even if the WBC chooses to allow him back, he won’t work with them again.
Kingry feels that the organization has singled him out for selective enforcement and treats him differently than other fighters. He believes that others haven’t been punished for saying similar.
Ryan seems to feel that the WBC is piling on, joining the many others who are criticizing him over his racial remarks. He’s not happy to be given further punishment and being treated differently than others.
“So WBC, so many other people have said racist remarks, and you never expelled. I’m expelled for life,” said Ryan about the WBC expelling him.
“The problem is Devin [Haney] has said racist things, and so has Tim Bradley and NADA. You do nothing.”
Garcia’s Future
Given Ryan’s popularity, his successful career will continue after his one-year suspension, and the WBC’s expulsion won’t have any impact. He’s not expelled by the IBF, WBA & WBO organizations, So if Ryan chooses to fight for world titles, he’ll have plenty of opportunities.
Ryan has already gone on record to say he doesn’t care about winning world titles. He wants to compete in the biggest fights and not focus on belts, which aren’t that important unless a fighter lacks a fan base.
If Ryan was serious about comments about not caring about world titles, the WBC expelling him is an empty gesture.
