The Road to Victory – Serhiy Radchenko is the new WBC Silver bridgerweight champion
Serhiy Radchenko, a 37-year-old Ukrainian boxer from Kremenchuk, has won the WBC Silver bridgerweight title.
On August 3rd, THE ROAD TO VICTORY Charity Evening of Professional Boxing was hosted at the largest sports arena in Ukraine, Kyiv Sports Palace, organized by GLOBAL Ukrainian Promotion and SPARTABOX Faniian Promotions.
Three prestigious boxing titles were at stake in the main fights of the evening, including the WBC Silver and WBC Ukraine belts.
Current Champion of Ukraine and WBC Ukraine Champion Serhiy Radchenko (11-7-0, 5 KOs) fought against Serbian boxer Andrej Pesic (15-3-1, 8 KOs) for the WBC Silver Bridgerweight title.
At the beginning of the bout, the Serbian boxer took the lead, but after round 4, when the judges’ notes were announced, the Ukrainian collected himself and began to fight more aggressively.
This eventually led to Serhiy’s victory by unanimous decision with the following points: 116-112, 116-112 and 115-113.
Serhiy Radchenko is an experienced boxer from Kremenchuk, who, despite never having a promoter or a manager, has gained considerable experience in professional cruiserweight boxing, having played spectacular bouts with world-class boxers and former world champions, including Krzysztof Glowacki, Michal Cieslak, Artur Szpilka and others, also he was a usual sparring partner of Volodymyr Klitschko during his training camps before the bouts.
However, after winning the WBC Ukraine Champion and Champion of Ukraine titles, the boxer was noticed by Viktor Milevskyi, experienced promoter and owner of the GLOBAL Ukrainian Promotion company, who later supported him throughout the challenging and intense journey to win the coveted WBC bridgerweight Silver belt.
Serhiy is a boxer with a heart of gold. He is a member of the WBC Cares Ukraine team and is actively involved in volunteering, humanitarian and charitable work, which among other includes helping orphans, Ukrainian defenders, medical institutions.
Serhiy Radchenko is a worthy Champion and a person with a big heart! His dream and goal is to become a WBC World Champion!
