Sofyan Amrabat wants a Man United return this summer, following a loan last season.
Manchester United’s dressing room could undergo major changes this summer. The likes of Raphael Varane and Antony Martial have already left. More prominent names could follow before the window is over.
It’s key that Erik ten Hag finds the right balance between new signings and keeping a core group of players together for the sake of consistency. With money also thought to be tight, the Old Trafford club could have to turn towards some bargain signings. Sofyan Amrabat could be a perfect option as he’s cheap, while being familiar with the club following his loan.
Apparently, the player himself is keen on staying at the Red Devils. That’s according to Corrierre dello Sport, per Sport Witness. The midfielder ‘dreams’ of a permanent transfer to United this summer, per the claims.
After a slow start to life in Manchester, Amrabat proved his worth as the campaign wound down. Topping it off with an absolutely colossal performance against Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
The midfielder is attracting interest from across Europe, including in Turkey, though he still wants a return to the Theatre of Dreams as a priority.
With Erik ten Hag still in charge, there’s a chance a move to sign Amrabat is sanctioned, while around £12.7m (15m euro) would be enough to get a deal done. In this day and age, that’s a very reasonable fee.
Amrabat showed that with consistent minutes, he can do a stellar job in that defensive midfield role. I was impressed with the way he ended the season and I’d be more than happy to see him return on a longer-tem contract.
He’s not going to be a top earner in terms of weekly wage. To me, it just makes sense.
