T.J. McConnell experienced Pascal Siakam’s 2019 Game 7 victory firsthand while playing for Philadelphia, where he witnessed Kawhi Leonard’s iconic shot bounce up and in. It’s a reminder that sometimes the margin between victory and defeat can be razor-thin.
âItâs one of those things where the team that exerts the most energy and plays to exhaustion comes out on top, and itâs win or go home,â McConnell said.
âItâs something every player plays for, a Game 7, and excited for the opportunity. But we have to be more dialed in than any of us have ever been before.
âThey know that if youâre not playing to absolute exhaustion in this next game, why even go? And thatâs got to be the mindset from everyone here.â
