Ferrari has redefined bespoke craftsmanship with the exclusive unveiling of the Tailor Made Ferrari Roma Spider. This exceptional creation, meticulously crafted by Ferrari’s esteemed Tailor Made department, now graces the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena. As of today, it joins the prestigious Ferrari One of a Kind exhibition, a testament to the unparalleled personalisation options that Ferrari offers its most discerning clients.
This custom Roma Spider is a testament to Ferrari’s commitment to luxury, performance, and innovation. It showcases cutting-edge production techniques and features a range of innovative materials. For instance, the seat’s central fabric panels are manually stitched with thread sourced from recycled tyres, a remarkable fusion of sustainability and craftsmanship. Complemented by these eco-friendly threads, the seat leather is a prime example of Ferrari’s ability to merge refinement with responsibility.
Ferrari also introduced a pioneering approach to laser-etched aluminium components used for shields on the front wing. In addition, the bonnet can be personalised with a compass rose design featuring the geographical coordinates of Ferrari’s birthplace, Maranello. Even more impressive, some components of the twin-turbo V8 engine are crafted from recycled aluminium, further emphasising Ferrari’s commitment to reducing waste in production.
Sustainability is a key theme in the Roma Spider’s design, extending to its use of chrome-free Nappa leather and responsibly sourced wood on the tonneau cover and rear flooring. Additionally, Ferrari has found a unique way to recycle sand removed from its foundry, using it to create elements of the centre console. These features reflect Ferrari’s innovative approach to both design and environmental responsibility.
A special collaboration with Montblanc further elevates the exclusivity of this project. The luxury brand created a one-off version of its iconic Meisterstück writing instrument. It was finished in the same Oro Mida hue selected by Ferrari’s Styling Centre to match the Roma Spider’s interior. The Meisterstück’s nib is made from hand-worked Au750 solid gold, platinum-coated, and engraved with a compass motif, while its cap and sections are also platinum-coated. The writing instrument is accompanied by a logbook with a cover made from recycled leather in the same Rosso Bologna and Pelle Metalizzata Oro Mida colours found in the car’s interior. The coordinates of Maranello, engraved on the bonnet, are mirrored on the logbook cover, symbolising the deep connection between the vehicle and its bespoke accessories.
