Thomas Jaeschke had 17 kills and an ace and the USA men bounced back with a 23-25, 25-15, 25-23, 25-14 victory ove Serbia  Friday at Vollyball Nations League. The Americans finish the second round by playing the home team, Canada, on Saturday.

The USA improved to 3-4, while Canada (3-3) had the day off in the tournament in Ottawa. The Canadians, also qualified for the Paris Olympics, finish their second round Sunday against Serbia.

Jaeschke, who hit .452, added eight digs. Matt Anderson had 12 kills, four blocks and seven digs. TJ DeFalco had 14 kills with one error in 25 attacks to hit .500, two aces and six digs. Taylor Averill had seven kills, hitting .636, and five blocks. Libero Erik Shoji had nine digs. Setter Micah Christenson had six digs, a kill and a block. His team hit .450. The USA had four aces and 13 serving errors.

Serbia, which dropped to 2-4, got 15 kills and three aces from Drazen Luburic. Pavie Peric added 16 kills and an ace and Marco Ivovic had 12 kills, a block and an ace. Serbia has five aces, 15 serving errors and hit .250.
