Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a name under consideration by Man United this summer.

Manchester United have unearthed a gem in the form of Rasmus Hojlund over the last nine months. The Dane has looked superb at times, while showing the inconsistencies of youth.

With Anthony Martial now no longer at the club, United should find some help for Hojlund by signing another front man. Finding that player who is willing to dip in and out of the side will not be easy, while limited funds also make the situation tough.

Several names have been linked with filling the void, including the likes of Joshua Zirkzee and Jonathan David. Today, another familiar name has been thrown into the mix; Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

It’s United Stand journalist Sam C with the information. He claims that Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has been linked with a Reds switch over years gone by, is still a possibility.

The 27-year-old striker is being ‘considered’ by United for summer transfer, though not as a primary target as things stand.

Check out Sam C’s X post on the news here:

The Everton man has certainly taken a backward step over the last season or two, while injuries certainly haven’t helped his case whatsoever. The Englishman was scoring goals for fun not too long ago, though, so there’s certainly a player in there.

You’d imagine Calvert-Lewin wouldn’t mind splitting minutes with Hojlund if he is signed, which is certainly a tick against his name.

However, I just wonder whether he’s good enough? Ideally, you’d like to bring in someone who is going to score 10-15 important goals a season. Maybe more given the fact that United are in the Europa League. I’m not sure Calvert-Lewin can give us that sort of output, particularly if his treatment table woes continue.
