Our confirmed MUFC XI for a home game vs Arsenal is now in…

Manchester United take on Arsenal this afternoon, during a game where the Red Devils could have a genuine say in what happens in the title race. Win here and the Old Trafford side could be handing a title to their noisy neighbours.

It’s easier said than done given recent form and poor run of results. Let’s be honest, I think we’re all fearing the worst here after the dreadful performances we’ve seen over the last few weeks.

Sadly, the injuries haven’t really let up. Mason Mount is still missing, while both Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes have lost the race to be fit in time for this one. Both are absent from the squad. Willy Kambwala is back on the bench, which does bolster the back line.

That said, it’s still a much weaker side than you’d like to field in one of the most important matches this season. Let’s give you the full run down…

Check out our confirmed MUFC XI vs Arsenal in full here:

Andre Onana starts in between the sticks here, with the man from Cameroon no doubt expecting a busy afternoon.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot play in the full-back positions, with Jonny Evans starting in defence. Presumably, he’ll be partnered once again by Casemiro.

Scott McTominay is given the honour of captaining United, sitting in alongside Sofyan Amrabat. Kobbie Mainoo completes the trio. I’d imagine he’ll be the furthest forward of the three.

Rasmus Hojlund continues to lead the line amid a real lack of service for the young Dane. To his right, Amad is given a rare opportunity to play from the off, with Alejandro Garnacho completing the XI.
