McCann will have an opportunity to avenge his only blemish against Baluta

High-flying, exciting prospect Dennis McCann (15-0-1, 8KO) has had a phenomenal start to his professional career.

Undefeated in 16 fights, the British super bantamweight has shot through the world rankings, now valued at #11 by the WBO, having held their Youth and Inter-Continental titles.

Despite now being seen as a huge threat at 122lbs, “The Menace” McCann’s only draw, against Ionut Baluta, continues to linger over him.

The southpaw will now have an opportunity to get one-up over his Romanian rival, with the EBU ordering the two to face off once more, this time for the now vacant European super bantamweight belt.

The last time the pair clashed, they were competing for the WBO Inter-Continental title, a title that McCann went on to win in his most recent outing against Brad Strand in March.

The rematch appears to be a near certainty with the EBU giving till April 16 to reach an agreement or a purse bid will be opened for the showdown.
