Man United believe they’ve got a great chance at signing a pair of top Premier League players this summer.

Manchester United Football Club need to have a huge summer transfer window, as Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS look to kick their reign off with some positivity.

Several big-name players will leave Old Trafford this summer. Hence, it falls on INEOS to replace these guys with genuine quality. Granted, that’s easier said than done when finances are believed to be tight.

However, talkSPORT believe United are closing in on their first two summer additions; Michael Olise and Jarrad Branthwaite.

According to their information, United are ‘confident’ they can sign the top-class Premier League duo, though it would represent a large chunk of the budget.

Crystal Palace’s Olise is believed to cost somewhere around the £60m mark, after his ten-goal campaign in English football’s top flight.

Branthwaite, on the other hand, could be available for as little as £40m due to Everton’s financial difficulties. I actually believe the fee to win his signature will eventually be significantly higher than the figure quoted by talkSPORT…

If you can sign the pair for a combined £120m, that’d be some brilliant business. These are two top class players in two genuine positions of need for the Old Trafford club. Both are homegrown players who’d count towards that quota, too.

With Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial leaving, both are also signings in areas where United suddenly find themselves somewhat depleted. Olise and Branthwaite would walk straight into the starting line-up from day one, while both are super young and would offer real longevity.
