Man United have eyes on Southampton’s exciting talent, Tyler Dibling.
Manchester United managed to beat Southampton 3-0 at the weekend, during a game that initially looked like it would be a struggle.
For the first half-hour, the Saints were well on top, creating chances galore and winning a penalty via Tyler Dibling, who gave Diogo Dalot a tough afternoon.
Now, Give Me Sport believe United are keen on signing the English teenager. They state that United have the exciting 18-year-old talent on their transfer ‘radar’, while Dan Ashworth has been watching the youngster for ‘years’.
United’s Director had been trying to sign Dibling for Newcastle United, though now he’s trying to do the same for the 20-time Premier League champions.
Southampton are looking to tie Dibling down to a new long-term contract on the South Coast, while the Red Devils are looking to turn the head of the winger.
I always love these sort of deals. They’re what United do extremely well and it does make sense for the Old Trafford side to try and push on with that mantra.
Dibling looks like someone who is already more than comfortable playing at the Premier League level – and adding him to an exciting group of young players at Old Trafford would only strengthen United’s hand.
Southampton will be doing all they can to ensure that Dibling does remain at St. Mary’s, but if these performance levels continue, United will not be the only club pushing hard to try and bring him in.
I’d like to see a move happen in January, with United trying to beat out the competition early, while also showing Dibling just how badly he’s wanted by the Theatre of Dreams club.
