Cameroon has unveiled a 26-man preliminary squad for the upcoming FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Latvia, including NBA star Pascal Siakam.
The squad features top talents like Ulrich Chomche and Jeremiah Hill alongside Siakam, who currently plays for the Indiana Pacers in the NBA.
Head coach Alfred Aboya has called up a mix of experienced players and promising talents for the training camp scheduled in Riga, Latvia from June 15-30.
The team will use this camp to prepare for the tournament and will also play two preparation games against Egypt and Georgia.
Cameroon, making their first appearance in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament since 2008, is set to face Brazil and Montenegro in Group B from July 2-7 in Riga.
The final roster for Cameroon will be announced by Aboya shortly before the tournament begins.

Siakam’s inclusion adds significant firepower to Cameroon’s lineup, as they aim to secure a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Notably, the national team will not have the country’s biggest star, Joel Embiid, who chose to represent the United States.
