Scott McTominay has arrived at Caopdichino airport in Naples, as he closes in on an exit away from Man United.

Alongside new arrivals, Manchester United have been keen to press ahead with player sales this summer. The Red Devils needed to raise some extra funds by letting some fringe players leave.

Although it has been somewhat difficult for the Red Devils to move on from some of these guys, INEOS have kept working right until the end of the transfer window. Today will be Scott McTominay’s last as a United player.

Rumours about his future have been circling all summer, though more recently, Napoli’s interest has risen to the forefront and it seemed genuine.

Now, Gianluca Di Marzio has confirmed that the United star has arrived at Naples airport, Capodichino, as a move away from United edges ever closer for the player who has 255 club appearances.

Check out Gianluca Di Marzio’s X post on the news here:

McTominay scored a career-high ten goals for United last term, which was pretty impressive given the overall team struggles. However, he has never really nailed down a regular starting place. Thus, a move away always felt likely.

A fee of around the £25m mark is pretty decent business for the United academy graduate, who has been at the club for the best part of two decades. While it’s sad to see him leave, it does feel like the right decision.

For McTominay, this represents a brilliant opportunity to out there and prove his worth in another country, playing for the Serie A champions no less.
