Mr You Liang, Vice President of the China Disabled Persons’ Federation and Director of the local organising committee, recently led a delegation to Dali to assess the ongoing preparations for the highly anticipated 2024 World ParaVolley Final Paralympics Qualifier.
The inspection, conducted from March 13-14, aimed to ensure all arrangements were in place for the successful hosting of the event.
During the visit, Mr You Liang and his team meticulously reviewed various aspects crucial to the smooth operations of the Games. They inspected the technical officials’ facilities, competition venues, training areas, and accommodations for participating teams. Additionally, a meeting was convened on March 14 to receive reports from relevant departments of the organising committee regarding their working plans.
Accompanying Mr You Liang on this inspection were esteemed individuals including Wu Zugen, Technical Advisor at the WPV Development Center (Hangzhou); Gao Lisheng, Vice President of the Yunnan Provincial Disabled Persons Federation; as well as several high-ranking officials from the local government and relevant departments.
The dedication and determination of both the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) China and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) towards the Final Paralympics Qualifier were evident throughout the visit. Every detail of the preparation process has been meticulously attended to, reflecting a commitment to success in hosting this prestigious event.
The Yunnan and Dali Governments are taking great initiatives in disseminating information about the event through various Chinese media channels, including television, radio, newspapers, and social media platforms. Furthermore, preparations for the opening ceremony are well underway, promising a spectacular and memorable event for all participants and spectators alike.
