Four Manchester United players are vying to claim the Premier League’s Budweiser Goal of the Season prize.

It has been a dreary campaign for United, who finished it in eighth place – their lowest ever since the 1989/90 First Division season.

All through, Erik ten Hag and his players have been subjected to intense criticism for their inconsistent results and performances that have often left a lot to be desired.

It’s therefore astounding that some of the stars on the club’s payroll have been nominated for some of the top flight’s most prestigious accolades.

Bruno Fernandes, Andre Onana and Diogo Dalot are vying to be included in the Premier League’s Fans Team of the Season.

It has now been confirmed that Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo and Marcus Rashford are also all in contention to clinch the league’s Goal of the Season prize.

Fernandes’ winning volley against Burnley at Turf Moor back in September is one of the four strikes that have been recognised.

On that occasion, the United skipper got on the end of a sublime diagonal from Jonny Evans and thumped it into the back of the Clarets’ goal.

The second goal that has been nominated doesn’t need much explanation – Garnacho’s fantastic overhead kick against the Toffees which surprised all across the football world.

Mainoo’s incredible match-winning solo goal in the thrilling 4-3 victory vs. Wolverhampton Wanders is also part of the 10-man shortlist. Mainoo embarked on a run and took on a few Wolves defenders before burying the ball into one of the corners. It was a special goal for the young midfielder as it was his first in the Premier League.

The final goal is Rashford’s thunderbolt against Manchester City back in March. Unfortunately at the time, United suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of their cross-town rivals.

Fans can vote for which goal they prefer here.

The winner will be announced on Sunday 26 May.
