Michael Olise’s cannon of a shot in Crystal Palace’s 4-0 thrashing of Manchester United on Monday condemned the Red Devils to their 13th defeat of the season – the most they’ve ever suffered in a single Premier League campaign.

The £60-million-rated Olise, who has been linked with a summer move to Old Trafford, punished Erik ten Hag’s side with two goals in the lopsided win.

The result sealed Palace’s first-ever league double over United and the visitors’ heaviest loss of the season.

Casemiro had one of his worst games since joining United in a £70-million move from Real Madrid. The Brazilian, playing at center-back amid an injury crisis, lost possession near United’s byline before Olise ripped a left-footed shot past embattled goalkeeper Andre Onana.

United remain outside the European places in eighth.
