Manchester United academy talents have made plenty of headlines this summer with eye-catching moves, helping improve the club’s financial situation in the process.

Alvaro Fernandez, Willy Kambwala, and Mason Greenwood have all departed Carrington to join top European giants on a permanent basis during the current transfer window.

Now, another United academy product has attracted attention through his transfer—seven years after his exit from Old Trafford.

Adnan Januzaj, who emerged as the only positive from United’s first season post-Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement, is currently on Sevilla’s books.

Such was Januzaj’s start at United that then-manager David Moyes tipped him for immense success, stating in his press conference (via GOAL): “We know we’ve got a really special talent, but we’ll keep his feet on the ground. He’s going to be a top, top player.”

However, after failing to show his true potential under Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho, the Belgium international moved to Real Sociedad in 2017.

He enjoyed a promising stint at Anoeta Stadium, scoring 23 goals and assisting 21 times in 168 appearances.

In 2022, he moved to Seville, where he failed to impress, managing zero goals in Red and White colours in two seasons.

Accordingly, he is on the move again, agreeing to join Las Palmas on loan for the remainder of the season.

However, he remains tied to Sevilla until 2026, with Las Palmas not getting any option to turn his loan into a permanent transfer.

Andreas Pereira is another much-hyped former United talent, who could soon switch clubs this summer.

Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming Chelsea are eyeing a deal for the Brazilian midfielder, who has endured a resurgence in form at Fulham.

Chelsea are reportedly willing to spend north of £30 million for Pereira. Unlike Januzaj’s move, United stand to gain if Pereira decides to accept a transfer to Stamford Bridge.

The Red Devils not only bagged a fee of around £10m for the versatile midfielder in 2022, but they also included a 20 per cent sell-on clause into the deal. As such, United are expected to earn more than £5m if Fulham sell Pereira for the reported fee.
